and protects your information (including personal data and sensitive personal information) when you:
- Access or use the Jarurat mobile application ("Jarurat App")
- Visit our website at www.jarurat.co.in
- Interact with Jarurat offline (through mail, phone, etc.)
- Avail services through the Jarurat Platform
By using the Jarurat Platform or Services, you consent to this Policy and any amendments made from time to time.
If you do not agree with this Policy, please do not use or access the Jarurat Platform.
1. Definitions
Users
"Users" include Customers, Service Providers (Professionals), and Vendors who use the Jarurat Platform.
Customers
"Customers" - individuals who request services through the Jarurat Platform.
Service Providers / Professionals
"Service Providers/Professionals" - independent third-party service operators offering services on Jarurat.
Personal Information
"Personal Information" - any information that could identify you (name, email, phone number, address, etc.).
Sensitive Personal Information
"Sensitive Personal Information" - financial information, government IDs, health data, biometric data, passwords.
Device
"Device" - any computer, mobile phone, or other device used to access Services.
Third-Party Service Providers (TPSP)
"Third-Party Service Providers (TPSP)" - external agencies providing services on our behalf (payment processors, analytics providers, etc.).
Co-Branded Services
"Co-Branded Services" - services offered in partnership with other companies.
Usage Information
"Usage Information" - technical data about how you use the Platform (clicks, searches, usage patterns, etc.).

For Service Providers/Professionals

- Vehicle information (for delivery services)
- Police Verification Certificate (if available)

- For Customers: Precise or approximate location when you open the app or request a service.
- For Service Providers: Real-time location when accepting bookings (collected only when "On-Duty" is active).
- We use location data even after the app is closed for service matching and safety purposes.

- IP address (Device Identifier)
- Device type, manufacturer, and model
- Operating system and version
- Mobile network data
- Unique device identifiers
- Software and app versions
- Preferred language and country settings
Usage Information
- Pages/features visited on the Platform
- Time spent on each feature

- For Service Providers during emergencies: body temperature, symptoms, vaccination status, health conditions (as disclosed by users).
3. USE OF INFORMATION COLLECTED

- Enabling access to the Jarurat Platform and Services.
- Matching Customers with appropriate Service Providers.
- Processing bookings and payments.
- Providing customer support.
- Sending service-related notifications (booking confirmations, OTPs, reminders).
- Verifying your identity and eligibility under applicable law.
- Processing refunds and cancellations.
- Managing disputes and complaints.
3.2 PLATFORM IMPROVEMENT & ANALYTICS
- Analyzing usage patterns and Platform performance.
- Identifying features that need improvement.
- Personalizing your experience on the Platform.
- Conducting market research and user surveys.
- Improving app functionality, design, and user interface.
- Fixing bugs, errors, and technical issues.

3.3 SAFETY & SECURITY
- Detecting and preventing fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access.
- Investigating suspected criminal activities.
- Identifying security breaches and vulnerabilities.
- Protecting the rights, safety, and property of users and the Platform.
- Complying with law enforcement requests and regulatory requirements.
- Conducting background checks and identity verification.
3.4 COMMUNICATION & MARKETING
- Sending promotional offers and rewards based on consumption patterns.
- Service announcements (maintenance alerts, policy changes, etc.).
- Marketing communications (with your consent).
- Notifying you of new features and services.
- Sending newsletters and special offers.
- Participating in contests and promotions.
- Referral program communications.
3.5 COMPLIANCE & LEGAL
- Complying with applicable laws and regulations (IT Act, GST Act, DPDP Rules, etc.).

- Enforcing Terms of Service and resolving disputes.
- Maintaining records for regulatory compliance and audit purposes.
- Fulfilling contractual obligations.
3.6 BUSINESS OPERATIONS
- Internal business analytics and reporting.
- Payment processing and financial management.
- Employee training and quality assurance.
- Database management and system administration.
- Business intelligence and trend analysis.
Important Note: We do NOT use your information for targeted advertising based on sensitive personal data.
4. SHARING OF INFORMATION WITH THIRD PARTIES
4.1 WITH SERVICE PROVIDERS & PROFESSIONALS
We share the following information with Service Providers to enable service delivery:
- Customer name, phone number, and booking address
- Service details and requirements
- Booking time and date
- Special instructions or notes
- Rating and review information
4.2 WITH CUSTOMERS
We share the following information with Customers:
- Service Provider name and profile picture
- Phone number and location (when "On-Duty")
- Vehicle registration number (if applicable)
- Ratings and reviews from previous customers
- Real-time location during service
4.3 WITH PAYMENT PROCESSORS & FINANCIAL INSTITUTIONS
- Transaction details necessary for payment processing
- Banking information (securely encrypted)
- Payment history for reconciliation
- Refund processing information
4.4 WITH THIRD-PARTY SERVICE PROVIDERS
We may share information with trusted TPSPs who assist in:
- Payment processing and gateway services
- Analytics and data analysis
- Customer support management
- Background verification and KYC checks
- Email and SMS communications
- Cloud hosting and data storage
- Fraud detection and security services
- Location services and mapping
Contractual Safeguards: We require all TPSPs to maintain the same level of data protection and confidentiality as we do.
4.5 WITH GOVERNMENT & LAW ENFORCEMENT
We may disclose information to:
- Government agencies and regulatory bodies
- Law enforcement officials (with valid legal requests)
- Judicial authorities and court orders
- Tax authorities (GST, Income Tax, etc.)
- Labor department (for compliance with employment laws)
4.6 CO-BRANDED SERVICES
If you use co-branded services (partnerships with banks, insurance providers, delivery services, etc.),
your information may be shared with those partners. You will be informed at the time of enrollment.
4.7 BUSINESS TRANSFERS & AFFILIATES
- Your information may be shared with parent companies, subsidiaries, and affiliates for internal business purposes.
- In case of merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, we may transfer your information to the successor entity.
4.8 PUBLIC DISCLOSURE
- User-generated content (reviews, ratings, photos) may be displayed publicly on the Platform.
- Your name and profile picture may appear in ratings/reviews if you choose to keep them public.
- You may choose to make certain information private in your account settings.
4.9 WHAT WE DO NOT SHARE
- We do NOT sell or rent your personal information for marketing purposes.
- We do NOT share SMS/text message data with third parties (except for OTP verification).
- We do NOT share passwords or sensitive financial information unnecessarily.
- We DO NOT share sensitive personal data for targeted advertising.
5. DATA RETENTION & DELETION
5.1 RETENTION PERIOD
- Active Users: We retain information as long as your account is active.
- After Account Deletion: Information retained for 180 days for dispute resolution, fraud investigation, and regulatory compliance.
- Beyond 180 Days: Data is either deleted or anonymized and aggregated for analytics purposes.
5.2 DATA YOU CAN DELETE
You may request deletion of:
- Personal profile information
- Transaction history
- Chat messages and support tickets
- User-generated content (ratings, reviews)
5.3 DATA WE RETAIN LONGER
For legal and regulatory compliance, we may retain:
- Tax and financial records (as per GST law and income tax requirements)
- Dispute resolution documentation
- Anti-fraud and security records
- Anonymized aggregate data for analytics
5.4 REQUEST FOR DELETION
To request data deletion, contact our Grievance Officer with specific details of the information you want deleted.
We will comply within 30 days unless legally required to retain.
6. SECURITY & DATA PROTECTION

7. USER RIGHTS & CHOICES
7.1 ACCESS YOUR INFORMATION
- Through your Jarurat account dashboard
- By requesting from our Grievance Officer
- Response time: 15 days
7.2 CORRECT INFORMATION
- Update your profile information through account settings.
- Contact support for corrections we cannot make directly.
- We will make changes within 7 business days.
7.3 OPT-OUT OPTIONS
- Marketing Communications: Unsubscribe from promotional emails/SMS.
- Location Tracking: Disable location permissions in app or device settings (may limit service functionality).
- Cookies: Disable cookies in browser settings (may impact user experience).
- Data Sharing: Limit data sharing preferences in privacy settings.
7.4 ACCOUNT DELETION
- Request account closure through app or email to support.
- We will delete your account and associated data within 30 days.
- Some data retained for 180 days as mentioned in Section 5.1.
7.5 GRIEVANCE RESOLUTION
- Step 1: Contact support via in-app chat (24-hour response time)
- Step 2: Email our Grievance Officer (48-hour response time)
- Step 3: Phone contact available during business hours
- Step 4: Escalation to senior management (if unresolved after 60 days)
8. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
- Age Requirement: The Jarurat Platform is only for users 18 years or older.
- No Intentional Collection: We do NOT knowingly collect information from children under 18.
- Parental Consent: If we discover we have collected information from a minor, we will delete it immediately.
- Responsibility: Parents/guardians are responsible for monitoring their children's internet usage.
9. INTERNATIONAL USERS & DATA TRANSFERS
- Primary Jurisdiction: Jarurat operates under Indian law and maintains primary data centers in India.
- Data Localization: Personal data of Indian residents is processed and stored within India.
- International Users: Non-Indian users' data may be transferred to Jarurat's service providers outside India.
- Cross-Border Transfers: Any international data transfers comply with applicable laws.
10. THIRD-PARTY LINKS & SERVICES
- Links to third-party websites (partner merchants, payment gateways, and social media).
- Embedded third-party content (maps, reviews, advertisements).
- Third-party authentication (Google, Facebook login).

- We are NOT responsible for privacy practices of third-party websites or apps
- Content and policies on linked websites
- Data collected by third parties

13.2 RATING & REPUTATION SYSTEM
- Ratings and reviews are publicly visible.
- Customer feedback may impact your ability to receive bookings.
- Multiple low ratings may result in account suspension.
- You have the right to respond to reviews.
13.3 ACCOUNT SUSPENSION & TERMINATION
- We may suspend your account for privacy policy violations.
- Repeated violations may result in permanent ban.
- You will be notified via email of suspension with reason.
